Our Baby is One!

Abigail's first birthday was today. The year seems to have flown by. It's hard for me to believe that she is already a year old. She's such a sweet and happy girl. I can't wait to see how she will grow and change throughout the next year of her life.

While Rachel was at school, we went to have lunch with Jeremy. We took her to the American Cafe. She enjoyed the fresh bread and spinach queso.

Here are some of my favorite pics of her throughout the year. Hope you enjoy!

Abigail is 12 months old!

Abigail is 12 months old. She is walking pretty good now and has gotten pretty fast, too. She has twelve teeth. Her top molars just came in the past few days. She finished her last can of formula a couple of weeks ago...yeah! She can say "Bye, Bye" and wave and she just started saying "Uh-Oh". She still likes to dart to her sister's bedroom when the door is open and still copies any sounds that we make. It is amazing how quickly she learns and changes each day. Here are some pictures from the last month.

Abigail's First Birthday Party

We had Abigail's first birthday party at our home today. (Her actual birthday is Tuesday.) She got lots of new toys and clothes and really enjoyed her birthday cake. I think that Rachel had just as much fun since she got to help Abigail open her presents. My Mom made Abigail's birthday jeans and my sister made her birthday cakes. Here is a slideshow of her enjoying the cake.

Here are more pics from the party.

Western Day at school

Rachel had a western day at school today. She and her classmates dressed like cowboys and cowgirls as they studied the letter "W". Here she is in her cowgirl outfit. Her bear had to wear a hat and bandana, too.

10 Teeth

Well, I guess that I was right when I said that Abigail would be getting her first molars soon. The first one came in about a week ago and the second one came in today. She has been drooling like crazy so I'm sure that the top molars will follow shortly.

A little video clip...

This is a little video of Abigail eating some Gerber ravioli bites. Sorry for her chewing with her mouth open, but she is a baby...LOL.

March Snow

The weather is always crazy around here. It can be warm one day and freezing the next. This is the second year in a row that it has snowed in March. Jeremy and Rachel went out and played in the snow before church this morning since Bible study was cancelled due to inclement weather. I went out for a bit, too. Abigail missed her first snow since she has another ear infection. She was still sleeping while we were out in it.

This is a picture of Rachel with the snowman that she built on Tuesday when the snow had started melting.

11 Months Old

Abigail is now 11 months old. She is such a busy baby. Now that she is walking, she is into everything. Her favorite destination is her sister's bedroom. She has decided that (with her eight teeth) she no longer wants baby food. And, I'm pretty sure that her first molars will be coming in soon. She can say "Mama" and "Dada" now and it's so cute. She likes to copy sounds that we make and is pretty good at it. Here is a slideshow of her from the last month.

My birthday "party"

My birthday is tomorrow. Wee Kids Praise at church meets on Wednesday nights. We had our music/Bible lesson as usual tonight, but Jeremy had a "party" for me during snack time. He made brownies for all the kids, brought me balloons and a "Happy Birthday" tiara and even had a stick the nose on the clown game for the kids. It was really sweet and the kids (including Rachel) had fun!

A quick trip to visit family

We went to Arkansas this weekend since we knew that it would be the last available weekend to travel for a while. We left Friday afternoon for White Hall. We spent the evening at my Mom's. Abigail did not like being in a "strange" place overnight. None of us got much rest. On Saturday morning, we packed up and drove to Monticello to visit Jeremy's grandparents and great-grandmother. After lunch, we drove back to White Hall to visit at my Dad's before heading home. It was a very quick trip, but at least we got to visit everyone that we had intended to see while we were there.
